The story of the Negroni was believed to have begun in Florence. There’s no documented historical account, but it is believed by cocktailians the drink was invented when Count Camillo Negroni ordered an Americano made with gin in place of the usual soda water. It was not long after since that this became one of the most consumed cocktails in the world.
