Swing along with French musical gems in the bewitching jazz style
The Hong Kong-based Korvi Quartet takes audiences on a unique cultural journey through various French musical styles in this first-ever jazz string quartet performance x cocktail pairing at a local distillery. Enjoy music ranging from medieval French folk dance to the rearrangements of Debussy's impressionistic works and modern gypsy jazz that invites listeners to swing along with its groovy rhythm. Also featured are original compositions by Hong Kong jazz violinist and composer Kenneth Li, inspired by the fascinating processes involved in spirit production.
Korvi Quartet is the first jazz string quartet from Hong Kong and also one of the rare ones in the world. With a distinctive style combining the essence of classical and jazz, its captivating and rhythmic performances exude a rich sense of European jazz where audiences irresistibly sway and groove along, unveiling new perspectives in jazz and the infinite possibilities of improvisation in the setting of a string quartet.
